Smart Dragon

Phaser colour

There are eight phasers and each phaser is the same.
Each phaser can be either green or red.
So you can have a solo game with eight red phasers.
You can have a solo game with eight green phasers.
You can have a team game and therefore usually there are four red and four green phasers.

The colour of the phaser is determined by either:
  • the preset game you have selected where the phasers just power-up in their correct colour or
  • you can over-ride the setting at any time using your hand-held remote control.
If you need to, you can play a team of five against of three or any other combination that suits your group at the time.

But beware: The team with less people will usually win! They have more targets and higher potential scoring opportunities.

Lasers or non-lasers?
Begeara as standard does not contain laser beams. The phaser emits a narrow beam of infrared light that is invisible to the human eye.

As an option, you can have a red laser added to each phaser. This increases the cost by £400 for the whole Begeara system.

Adding laser beams can be attractive because it adds a visible means of seeing your beam when you deactivate an opponent.

But beware: The laser beam is only visible if there is something present in the air itself. You need to add haze or theatrical fog so that the light of the laser beam is visible to you. Without anything suspended in the air, you will see a red dot where the beams hits and is reflected to you but you won’t see the beam itself. If you choose to have lasers as an optional extra and you want to see the beam, then remember to use some method for adding a harmless medium to the air.

Sunshine in the mist or mist in the sunshine!
